DHAAGA HERITAGE
Inspired Beginnings
Founded in 2024 by architects Aditi and Nachiket Garge, Dhaaga Heritage was born from a meaningful interaction with Pashmina artistry. During a family trip to Kashmir, while shopping a shawl for Aditi’s mother's 70th birthday, the couple got first-hand experience and knowledge of making Pashmina shawl, and were fascinated with the intricate weaving & embroidery process. Also, they were deeply moved by various challenges and hardships faced by the artisans.
Crafting Beyond Borders
Charting a Global Path for Indian Art & Craft
Dhaaga Heritage aims to expand its presence in the global markets, showcasing India’s endangered woven art & craft. With an online presence and collaboration with international distributors, Aditi and Nachiket strive to make Indian woven craft synonymous with elegance worldwide.
Dhaaga Heritage is not just preserving an art form; it is celebrating the spirit of artisanship. Through their passion and vision, the founders are weaving a narrative of tradition, sustainability, and timeless beauty.
Craft. Conscience. Culture.
A Commitment to Craft and Sustainability
Dhaaga Heritage prides itself on its dedication to authenticity. Unlike many modern adaptations, the brand adheres to traditional techniques, ensuring that every woven product sold by Dhaaga Heritage is entirely handmade. This includes everything from spinning the wool to weaving on traditional looms and crafting delicate embroidery, all deeply rooted in heritage.
For premium products like Pashmina, Dhaaga Heritage stands firmly behind the authenticity and detailed certificate, ensuring complete transparency about its origin, craftsmanship, and quality.
In the heart of rural India, where the rhythms of life follow the gentle flow of rivers and the whispers of ancient winds, lies a treasure trove of tradition and artistry. This is where the idea of Dhaaga was born, a brand dedicated to preserving and celebrating the intricate weaving techniques that are the lifeblood of these communities.
We see ourselves as custodians of an invaluable heritage. Our mission extends beyond commerce; it is about sustaining the livelihoods of artisans and ensuring that their skills are not lost to time. By providing a platform for these artisans, we aim to inspire a renewed appreciation for handmade textiles and the rich narratives they carry.
